Lasik can treat astigmatism as well as nearsightedness and farsightedness. There are specific parameters that are FDA approved for treatment so you should see a surgeon for an evaluation. Most places do offer a free consultation/evaluation. Lasik, depending on your exact prescription, will either eliminate or greatly reduce your need for glasses and/or contacts.
Astigmatism can easily be treated by Lasik eye surgery and it helps to get back your normal vision. Some temporary side effects will be there but that disappear within a few days.
The future of the surgery is bright with all the advances made in medical science; it is possible to have this surgery with the barest risks. A skilled and experienced surgeon will be the right person, consult more than one surgeon before going for Lasik surgery… To know more visit the link.
The answer is NO.. Lasik is for regular minus and plus powers. With the shape that your eye gets when it has a astigmatism is hard to repair and has not yet been done. You could get lasik but it wont really help.
THe doctor will talk to you about your options and see what your options are. It also depends on the RX.
Depends. I had an astigmatism, was near sighted on eye far sighted the other, lasik solved them all. Only the eye doctor can say for sure whether or not you are a good candidate for it. Most will give you a free consultation to determine this.
my friend has a horrible astigmatism and the lense to correct it is too big for her eyes so the recommended lasik for her, of course you need like the 10 grand to pay for it cuz insurance wont cover it
