   You need to first decide the kind of treatment – for this you can consult an oncologist – In India, the best is Dr.S.H.Advani of Mumbai – He is available in his OPD at Jaslok and Raheja Hospitals.
   Once nature of treatment is decided, you can decide on the Hospital. Since treatment of cancer according to modern medical concept is quite painful and eventful, you need to decide on a place where logistical and other supports are in place.
   As far as Chemotherapy and Radiation is concerned, modern medicine concept go by regimes, which are standard and generally adopted all over world. Regime means the course and manner of administration of medicine or radiation calculated on the basis of weight, height etc. of patient.

   It would have been easier to suggest you the best doctor and or best place for treating cancer. Since you say he is in Stage IV it is better to treat at the best hospital locally. The following 3 hospitals come to me memory immediately as best -
   1. Adyar Cancer Institute – Chennai
   2. Tata Memorial Institute, Mumbai
   3. All India Medical Sciences, New Delhi.
   Our friend above me has suggested CMC, Vellore, but in my opinion they do not have latest machinery and full fledged Oncology experts.
   In addition to the above all hospitals of Apollo group of hospitals are good. You can try anywhere. Best of luck-

   Christian medical college[cmc] vellore is good . In which place does your friend live in India? you can choose a better hospital accordingly.
   there are lots of hospitals in India which are really good. YOu can also go to google search and find out.
