What Kind Of Data Can I Gather About Sunscreen And Skin Cancer?

I am doing a project about nanoparticles used in sunscreen. Some people believe it can cause skin cancer, while others believe it protects from skin cancer. Are there any statistics I can use? Maybe some about which kinds of sunscreen have been most effective. Something including nanotechnology would be nice, but even just sunscreen statistics will do.
Please provide a link or two.
Thank you.

I have heard this concern too. As a consequence (two of my cousins have had malignant melanoma in their twenties, one died, one did not), I only use mineral sun blocks now. A quick google found this:http://thegreenguide.com/reports/product…
Which is more of an overview. Here is some more specific stuff:http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/84053…http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Padimate_O#…
    Should get you started…
