I had it done last year and it was great! No more glasses, not more contacts, just living life like everyone else. Make sure you read up on it and get all of your questions answered first. And don’t just go to a doctor because he’s the cheapest – you get what you pay for. Here’s a web site that should help you two know what to ask and what to expect. Good luck.
Most pleased, but my night vision took about a year to settle down.
husband and I both had it done about 2 years ago.
We are pleased with results. No contacts or glasses (except sun glasses) So that is great.
He chose mono-vision (one eye far vision, one eye near vision) and sometimes experiences blurring or tiredness when he reads for a long time (since only one eye is working, apparently)
He had astigmatism so he had the wave-front laser
I had the regular procedure (cheaper) because my eyes were symmetrical
I went for standard correction of near-sightedness (not mono vision), and I am very happy (no trouble of any kind)
i had my eyes lazed five years ago and love every day of not having to wear glass`s or contact lenses
i’ve had two family memmbers do it and they loved it. they can see perfectly now!
I’d do it again. The one thing they don’t tell you is that it won’t last forever. I had both eyes done in 1999, and I could see like superman for about 4 years, then they slowly started getting blurry again. My eyesight now isn’t anywhere near what it was before the surgery, and it isn’t so bad I can’t drive, but I use glasses to drive at night, and to be able to read what is written on a chalk board from across the room
